The International College of Capoeira (ICC) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 91345) The college was established to ensure that knowledge and fundamentals of Capoeira are preserved at its highest quality and to maintain the origins of Capoeira Contemporania (Contemporary).

The International College of Capoeira (ICC) establishment is as a result of the increased demand for qualified Capoeira coaches in Australia. The current courses will provide all learners with the necessary tools, methods and techniques to become a specialised Capoeira instructor. Learners at the ICC will acquire the skills to safely and effectively implement, coordinate and deliver activities and programs specific to capoeira to individuals, groups and various other institutions.

ICC Courses include the study of all aspects of capoeira including its history, evolution, philosophy, music, movements and the business structure of the Capoeira Industry through certificate II, III and IV in Sport (Coaching).

At the ICC, learners will obtain first class tutelage by qualified trainers. Upon completion of the courses students will receive nationally recognised Sport (Coaching) specialisation in Martial Arts (Capoeira) Certificates to ensure a more secure career in the rapidly changing Martial Arts industry.

The course will be supervised and delivered by Mestre Peixe (Andre Cerutti) and his highest and most experienced Capoeira Instructors. Mestre Peixe has dedicated his life to Capoeira since 1984 and his recognition as a Capoeira Master in Brasil (for Group Capoeira Brasil �Australia) is from several International Grand Masters of Capoeira.

  • One of the main goals of the ICC is to have the art form of Capoeira and the qualifications of its Capoeira Coaches recognised nationally and internationally within the martial arts industry, Capoeira communities, Universities which offers Sports and Recreation degrees, Entertainment industry and the film & television sector.

You will benefit from the years of professional and personal experience of our Capoeira trainers. We have sourced the best trainers available to provide first hand experience and advice to develop your skills to excel as a Capoeira Coach. All trainers have had many years experience in teaching the art form to a variety of skilled levels nationally and internationally. All trainers are constantly learning new methods and techniques of teaching Capoeira through special Capoeira workshops conducted nationally and internationally with in the Capoeira community and hold the trainer and assessor qualifications to provide you with a first class program.

NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB)

 

VETAB Mission Statement:

 

VETAB’s mission is to foster vocational education and training of the highest possible quality and with the widest possible community access, through a firm commitment to excellence, integrity and partnership. VETAB is committed to providing the highest quality services to all our customers.

 

VETAB’s main functions are:

  • to register training organisations;
  • to accredit vocational courses;
  • to approve persons to provide courses for overseas students;
  • to advise the Minister, liaise with authorities (both in NSW and elsewhere) and investigate and report on matters relating to these registration, accreditation and approval functions.

These are outlined in the Vocational Education and Training Act 2005 (the VET Act). The Act replaced the Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Act 1990 on 26 April 2006. These functions are supported by staff within the Quality Assurance Services Directorate of the NSW Department of Education and Training.

National Training Information Service (NTIS)
The National Training Information Service (NTIS) has been developed to provide access to training information and products. Currently, the NTIS comprises a database of:
  • Nationally recognised qualifications
  • Accredited courses
  • Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)
  • Units of competency
  • Training Packages and
  • State Training Authorities (STAs), Industry Skills Councils (ISCs) and Developers.
